Empezamos la partitura de English Pavan y cóm podéis ver se trata de una partitura con 4 voces en las que todas tienen la misma importancia y los movimientos rítmicos y melódicos que realizan son muy similares. La partitura es muy sencilla en lectura y ritmo y su complicación veremos que radica principalmente en coordinar las 4 voces. Os dejo aquí la definición en inglés del diccionario de música:
...A style of composition in which there are several melodies, and all the voices and move rhythmically together. This is opposed to polyphonic, in which each voice may move independently. Homophony is not to be confused with monophony, in which all the voices and accompanying instruments are performing exactly the same notes, in homophony there is a distinct melody with accompanying harmony, but all move in the same rhythmic pattern....
